Support for Development Agents

Direct support for artists agents

With a desire to contribute to the revitalization and outreach of the performing arts sector, Diagramme, through its DIA360 program and thanks to the support of the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec (CALQ), is deploying a pilot project to support development agents.

This two-part initiative aims to provide emergency financial support to diffusion agencies, which have been severely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, and to contribute to the training of a new generation of representation and market development agents.

An intensive internship is therefore offered to mobilize and inspire a new generation of artists’ agents, an essential lever for the revival of the cultural sector. Following a call for applications, Olivier Parent was selected to join the FÔVE Diffusion agency and carry out this mandate as a representation and market development agent.

Originally from Quebec City, Olivier Parent graduated from the Professional Theatre School of Collège Lionel-Groulx in 2017 and is currently pursuing a D.E.S.S. in Management of Cultural Organizations at HEC Montréal.

A manager, entrepreneur and actor, he co-founded Théâtre du Portage in 2016, a creative theater company specializing in contemporary masked play, and is currently responsible for member services and communications at the Association québécoise des marionnettistes.

« Driven by the issues of accessibility of the work and the artist-audience encounter, I am excited to join the Fôve Diffusion team in order to contribute to the outreach of contemporary dance and its artists. »
