Circul'R

Circul’R is a company directed by Bérénice Dupuis that aims to dramatize urban dance.

Inspired by breaking and animation, it explores the boundary between the human and the superhuman, between flesh and machine. These dances, which defy gravity and imitate mechanics, reflect a fascination with the disconnected body, acted upon by external forces.

Circul’R develops an aesthetic of illusion and magic: glitches, stops, rewinds, and robotic gestures become metaphors for our digital lives.

At the crossroads of philosophy and movement, the company questions what remains of humanity in a world where gesture tends to become calculation.
